Last night, the MVP’s were given out to each respective league.
In the American league, the award went to Toronto Blue Jays third basemen Josh Donaldson. The 29 year old slugger had some motivation this season after the surprise trade last winter where he went from the Oakland Athletics to what Drake is calling it these days, “the six” aka Toronto. Donaldson changed Toronto into a baseball city with his monster leg kick before destroying balls and his rocket of an arm at the hot corner. Donaldson finished in the top 5 in all of baseball in homeruns, RBI’s, slugging percentage, and was sixth in on base percentage.
In the National League, the hardware went to Washington Nationals outfielder, Bryce Harper. Harper had a monster year hitting .330, 42 homers, and 99 RBI’s. He is actually younger than this year’s N.L. Rookie of the Year, Kris Bryant. Before this season, people were saying Harper was overrated. But if you were to ask Bryce if he was overrated, he would probably say “that’s a clown question, bro.” He had people eating their words after he received this award. Harper is only 23 years old, so don’t be surprised if you hear his name winning this award again in the future.
So I don’t know what is more surprising, Harper’s sudden decision to change his hair color, or the fact that I got my prediction right for once when I chose these players to win this award a month ago.
See you next time folks!
